Our lightweight, durable handwoven basket bags are crafted in El Salvador by a small, female-led team of skilled artisans, using traditional weaving techniques.
Each basket bag is made from 100% HDPE plastic strands, combining virgin and recycled materials. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is one of the most widely recycled plastic polymers worldwide and is known for its strength and longevity. This material makes our basket bags waterproof, lightweight, UV-resistant, and extremely durable.
The Medium Rayas Collective basket bag is our most popular size, designed to comfortably hold all your daily essentials while maintaining a compact, lightweight shape for everyday use. Designed for everyday durability, each handle is made from a single continuous strand that wraps fully around the basket and is fused at just one point. This construction ensures exceptional strength and prevents the handles from tearing — even when carrying heavier loads.
Please note that every basket bag is handmade and one of a kind. As a result, slight variations in weave, size, and handle length are part of the craftsmanship and add to the unique character of each piece.
