Our woven mercado baskets are handmade in El Salvador by a small female-led team of skilled artisans. Each basket takes 3-4 hours to make, using locally sourced materials.

Thanks to the sturdy, waterproof and durable material, our woven basket bags are the perfect beach bag, market shopper, mum bag, storage container, fruit basket and evening purse.

Basketry has a long tradition in many South American countries such as Mexico and Guatemala - it is our mission to promote the lesser known woven crafts of El Salvador.
